Arcade Machines

Q:  Are LCD Screen's better or worse than CRT Screens?

A:  They are different.  Die hard gamers often prefer CRT screens to re-enact the same old gamer experience as "back in the day" (and for the same reason normally chose an original single game Jamma board machine).  CRT screen's have a high voltage transformer than weakens over time which makes the screen appear blurry, and also need degaussing from time to time.  Most people have upgraded their home televisions to LCD for improved image and colour quality, lower power consumption, better reliability etc.  It is often difficult to find someone to repair, let alone replace a CRT screen.

We live in a disposable society and it's cheaper nowadays to replace an LCD, than to repair one (or CRT for that matter).  There are several good video's on YouTube that explain the pro's and con's of each technology and if you are concerned about this, then I recommend you do some research so you make an informed decision.  In the end, it's a personal decision that is often made easier by viewing both technologies in person.  I choose to deal only with LCD screens which unfortunately for me, are a dearer component to buy.

Q: What is your Warranty Period?

A: Our standard warranty is 6 Months.  This is a calculated decision to keep the cost of the machine down and more affordable for the majority.  We stand by our machines and also offer Warranty upgrades to 12 months, 2 years, and 3 years.  Please enquire if you would like to upgrade the warranty to a longer period (which can be done any time prior to the end of your current warranty period).

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: We accept cash, EFT and Bank Cheque with no additional cost.  We also accept PayPal, Master Card & Visa Card which attract a 2% surcharge.

Q: Do you have a lay-by scheme, or rental purchase scheme?

A: We do offer a lay-by scheme with minimum 10% deposit, and payment over maximum term of 3 months.  We have no commercial agreement with rental purchase agencies that allow you to take the machine home prior to payment in full for the machine.  (Unless on short term rental agreement with us.)

Q: What's the main difference between a 60 in 1 game machine and a 1505 game machine?

A: In short, the cost to implement.  The 1505 game machine has a more complex (read more expensive) "engine" than the 60 in 1 game machine.

Q: If there is a problem with my machine, do I have to return it to you?

A: Our Warranty is a Return to Base Warranty.  This means that in the event that something goes wrong with your machine and we are unable to diagnose/talk you through solving the problem, you will be required to return the faulty component to us for repair/replacement.

Q: Are you GST Registered, and can I claim the purchase price as a tax deduction?

A: We are registered for GST and our ABN is:  38 108 232 935.  All invoices for Arcade Machine products include 10% GST in the sales price.  Please refer to your accounting professional as to your ability to claim a tax deduction for your purchase.

Q: Can you do a better price for Cash?

A: We believe our prices represent excellent value.  We do not provide 10% discount for "Cash" and a Tax Invoice will be supplied with all machine sales.  That said, quantity discounts can be requested if you would like to purchase more than one machine.  EFT and Credit Card are our preferred method of payment.

Q: How can I get my machine?

A: Pick-up is available from Burpengary or we can delivery the machine within 200 klms of Burpengary.  We also have several transport companies on record that deliver to most parts of Australia.  Please refer to our Delivery web page for more information.

Q: Do you offer a money back guarantee if I am not satisfied with the machine?

A: Yes, if you are not 100% happy with the machine within 7 days of purchase, please return the machine to us (in new working condition) and we will refund to you the cost of the machine less a $175 re-stocking fee.  This fee covers our cost in re-packaging the machine for re-sale as well as preventing purchases made solely to avoid paying short term rental fee's.
